This book contributes new elements to the urgent and necessary collective questioning, taking into account the new theoretical and political paradigms of social transformation in Latin America, in a dialogue between experiences of building the commons. Alternatives to development, our great challenge from the perspective of Latin American political ecology, imply deepening these struggles for the production of the commons toward a social transformation that must be addressed simultaneously in its complex relationships between capital, class, race, coloniality, gender, and nature, since it is precisely their historical interweavings, entanglements, and interdependencies that shape the civilizational foundations of the system we face.
