The seminar "Feminist Justice for Building a State of Rights" is a multidisciplinary training program that, from a comprehensive and critical perspective, analyzes feminist justice as a means to reclaim and achieve rights through collective self-reflection on the concepts developed through experience. It also fosters the sharing and creation of new participatory and healing pedagogical experiences. This seminar is designed to help anyone understand the content and acquire tools to ensure the enjoyment of their rights in their daily lives. Furthermore, it serves as a professional development opportunity for women students, researchers, public servants, and activists who wish to understand the process and contribute to advancing the agenda in their spheres of influence. The seminar will be led by: Ana Luisa Cardona Landeros, academic and feminist lawyer; Citlaly Yazmín Romero Ornelas, teacher and feminist educator; and Yadira Torres Briseño, feminist art activist and Master of Arts.
Class 1: An approach to feminist justice.
Class 2: Criminalization of women in caregiving roles: bad women, bad mothers, marginalized women.
Class 3: Legislative progress in the feminist legal struggle.
Class 4: Challenges for the protection of women against violence: Justice built by and for women
Class 5: Discussing masculinities in the judicial environment to prevent the instrumentalization of feminist justice in the service of patriarchy.
Class 6: Feminist Pedagogies: New ways of educating, the basis for the cultural transformation of justice
Class 7: Justice for women in and from the peripheries.
Class 8: Centralism and justice.
Class 9: The importance of the gender perspective in the administration of justice.
Class 10: Art as catharsis and healing: the women who uphold justice when the State fails.
The course will be delivered online, combining synchronous and asynchronous sessions. Over the two weeks, a total of ten classes will be taught, eight of which will be live and two will be available as recordings for asynchronous viewing.
Live classes will be held via Zoom, allowing for direct interaction among participants. In addition, students will have access to exclusive materials, available in the virtual classroom, to complement the content covered in each session.
