CLACSO Working Group on the Left: Praxis and Social Transformation
This book is the result of the collective work of the CLACSO Working Group “Leftists: Praxis and Social Transformation,” coordinated by Viviana Bravo Vargas and Mariana Mastrángelo. Two themes are central to this work: the working class, on the one hand, and its relationship with the left, on the other. The context is Latin America in the 20th and 21st centuries. The subject matter refers to the different phases we have experienced as a working group (since its inception in 2013), which have centered on the discussion of “what it means to be on the left in Latin America,” and what relationships exist between the left and the working class, as well as social and political movements.
