The war in Ukraine. Perspectives from Latin America.
The escalation of the conflict in Eastern Europe following the invasion of Ukrainian territory by Russian troops on February 24, 2022, has immediately become a crisis of global dimensions and consequences. While Latin America and the Caribbean are supposedly far removed from the war, they are not exempt from its impacts and political or economic repercussions.
El CLACSO Working Group on Feminisms, Resistance and Emancipation This dossier invites you to read and share it, as it aims to reflect on the positions Latin American states have taken regarding the escalating conflict in Europe. It seeks not only to present the stances of government leaders, but also how these positions encourage—or fail to encourage—internal debates within their countries. Beyond the political actors, other voices and perspectives that appear in media coverage of the conflict are also presented.
