The structure of global power

The Marielle Franco Room of CLACSO was the venue for the face-to-face meeting organized by the Secretariat of the High National Council of Experts of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) on Thursday, November 21.

The welcoming remarks were given by Pablo Vommaro, Academic Secretary of CLACSO, and Zhang Guanzi, Secretary General of CASS.
Next, two panels with presentations were organized. In the first one, Li Xuesong, director and researcher of the CASS Institute of Economics spoke about “Modernization in the Chinese style provides continuous impetus for global growth”; Chai Yu, director and researcher at the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS) CASS on “Economic and trade cooperation between China and Latin America and modern development”, and Du Zhixiong, Party secretary and researcher at the Rural Development Institute of the same Academy, on “China’s achievements in poverty alleviation and its enlightenment”.
In the second panel, they made comments. Zhang GuanziSecretary General and Researcher at CASS, and Gabriel Merino, co-coordinator of the CLACSO working group "China and the Map of World Power", while Fernanda Pampín coordinated the interventions.
