Algorithmic Justice
CLACSO, the International Center for Higher Studies of Communication for Latin America (CIESPAL) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) present the book “Algorithmic Justice – An ethical Artificial Intelligence for Latin America and the Caribbean” from the “Research Calls” Collection.
At a time of rapid digital transformation, Latin America and the Caribbean face a fundamental ethical dilemma: how to harness the power of artificial intelligence for the common good, while mitigating its risks and preventing the exacerbation of the region's historical inequalities. It is in this context that the call for proposals “Algorithmic Justice: Ethical Artificial Intelligence for Latin America and the Caribbean,” promoted by the UNESCO Office in Quito and Representation in Ecuador, and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), stands as a vital contribution.
