The acts of intimidation and pressure against the Judiciary and the various bodies that comprise the judicial system during the administration of former President Mauricio Macri have undermined the independence that the Justice system must uphold. Far from being isolated, isolated incidents, what was implemented in the Argentine Republic was a systematic and structural plan to co-opt the Argentine Judiciary, in order to establish a Judiciary "à la carte." This book is the result of extensive research that is not driven by any corporate or partisan political motives; its pages seek to establish the central role that judges, lawyers, and other personnel within the judicial system must play in the defense and preservation of human rights and, in general, of an impartial and independent Judiciary, as well as in upholding the rule of law.
