Justice on demand. The Judiciary in the Macri era.
“Justice à la Carte” reconstructs and analyzes the state of the Judiciary in Argentina left by the government of Mauricio Macri. This co-publication of CLACSO and the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of the National University of La Plata is an impartial account of the Systematic and Structural Plan for the Co-optation of the Judiciary under the Cambiemos government (2015-2019). It is the result of extensive research that seeks to establish the central role that judges, lawyers, and other judicial system personnel must play in the defense and preservation of human rights, in upholding the rule of law, and in ensuring an impartial and independent Judiciary.
Coordinator: Emanuel Desojo
Co-authors: Bruno Bagnarelli, Luciana Burgos, Augusto Catoggio, Daniela Cipolla, Emanuel Desojo, Emanuel Lovelli, Mariano Lovelli and Santiago Pavón Jaureguiberry.
In the prologue, Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni, Judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, states: “…let the reader know that this text does nothing more than portray the remains of some of the main pillars of our partially demolished rule of law.”
