Education, memories and resistance. Fifty years after the coup in Chile

Valparaíso, Chile | 04 to 09 September 2023


The Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), the CLACSO Working Group “Popular Education and Critical Pedagogies”; the University of Playa Ancha (UPLA) with the “Latin American Pedagogies Research Group” and the “Observatory of Social Participation and Territory”; the International University of Andalusia (UNIA) and the La Rábida Group of Ibero-American Universities, convened master's and doctoral students, public policy officials and representatives of civil society committed to education at different levels of the educational system and beyond, to apply to participate in the IV CLACSO International Postgraduate School in Education “Education, memory and resistance. Fifty years after the coup in Chile”This activity is part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the coup d'état and the overthrow of the Popular Unity government, led by President Salvador Allende Gossens. The School will take place in Valparaíso, Chile, from September 04 to 09, 2023.

We have received 82 applications which were evaluated by an international jury made up of 15 members of the academic committee and the organizing committee, this whole team was in charge of considering the quality, relevance and coherence of the applications according to the bases of the call.
