Video of the III UNAM Libraries Virtual Forum "The Open Access and Open Science Agenda in the Pandemic Crisis: Progress and Disappointments"
Presentation of the paper "Recent trends in open science and open access policies in Latin America", by Dominique Babini (Open Science Advisor- CLACSO).
This forum brings together specialists and project managers focused on #OpenAccess to #AcademicPublications and the implementation of policies and resources aimed at #OpenScience , with the objective of evaluating the impact of a situation marked by the urgent demand for access to and sharing of #ScientificInformation stemming from the global health crisis. To this end, the various proposed initiatives and agendas will be re-evaluated, such as Plan S and its “transformative agreements,” the role of large commercial publishers, the transformation of different paths toward open access, and the emergence of #preprint #repositories , paying particular attention to the needs and possibilities of the Latin American ecosystem for the circulation of #ScientificKnowledge . Furthermore, lines of action will be proposed to position #librarians as key players in the realization of Open Science.
