Integration, society, culture and geopolitics from a Latin American perspective
La Network of Latin American Studies and Chicano-Iberian Culture (RELACI) invites you to the RELACI 2026 International Research Seminar: “Integration, society, culture and geopolitics from a Latin American perspective”, on June 25 and 26, 2026 at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Colima, Mexico.
The opening session will include Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO, together with Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeño (Rector of the University of Colima) and Jesus Ruiz Flores (Network of Latin American Studies and Chicano-Iberian Culture, RELACI).
The meeting will bring together researchers, professors, graduate students, and specialists from various countries to discuss the main contemporary challenges facing Latin America from an interdisciplinary perspective. Over two days, the program will include keynote lectures, roundtables, thematic panels, doctoral colloquia, and book presentations.
The topics of discussion include geopolitics and regional geoeconomics, public policies and power relations, migration processes and human rights, economic integration, social and gender inequalities, sustainability for regional development, and the academic challenges of interdisciplinary research in Latin America.
The seminar is organized by RELACI with the participation of academics from universities and research institutions in Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Participants include: CLACSO Working Groups "Migration and South-South borders"And"Borders, regionalization and globalization".
