Institute for Educational Research and Pedagogical Development – Colombia
The Institute for Educational Research and Pedagogical Development, IDEP, is a public entity in the education sector in Bogotá, Colombia, with a history of more than 30 years of work, oriented to produce and manage knowledge through research and innovation for pedagogical development to contribute to closing socio-educational gaps, pedagogical transformation and the recognition of teaching knowledge.
The Institute has designed a Research Program that we have called 'Pedagogies that transform', as a dynamic commitment that recognizes the knowledge of teachers and promotes their networking for the construction of knowledge and that constitutes a roadmap to promote educational research and pedagogical development, focused on generating the educational changes that the educational system in Bogotá requires.
From there we develop different territorial strategies with teachers and other members of the educational communities, to strengthen capacities in research, innovation and use of technologies, for the improvement of the quality of education.
IDEP is an open house for teachers, researchers, and educational communities not only from the city and the country, but from all over Latin America. Therefore, we make our editorial line available through digital publications. Urban Classroom Magazine and the indexed scientific journal Education and City.
We also have a Center for Educational Research and Innovation Resources (CRIIE) with more than 10 research articles in different areas.
