Institute for Educational Development Research – Mexico
Stefano Sartorello – Researcher
On September 4, 2002, the Ibero-American University of Mexico City founded the Institute for Educational Development Research with the objective of analyzing and contributing to solving the country's educational problems and from there collaborating with the university's mission in building a freer, fairer, more productive and democratic society.
Since its inception, INIDE has conducted rigorous academic research and sought to give voice to the voiceless, viewing reality through the eyes of those who should benefit from educational initiatives and those trying to change practices to achieve more effective and equitable outcomes. Therefore, most of its research involves fieldwork and is applied research that challenges simplistic or top-down perspectives by incorporating the viewpoints of beneficiaries and stakeholders.
