Report on the International Mission for the Observation and Defense of Human Rights in Peru

Between March 7 and 15, 2023, a team of lawyers and academics from various organizations in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, and Bolivia visited Peru to learn firsthand about the allegations of serious human rights violations that have occurred in Peru since December 2022.

This report, which was prepared by researchers from CLACSO Working Group on Borders, Regionalization and GlobalizationIt presents preliminary results but expresses the clear commitment of its authors to the systematization and analysis of the information provided for use by local legal teams, as well as for cases requiring such documentation before international bodies, and obviously as part of an international commitment to the promotion and defense of peace, the understanding of our endemic violence and the non-repetition of these events in the future.
