InfoCLACSO Live – November 24, 2021
On Wednesday, November 24th, starting at 16 PM in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil (UTC-3), we will present InfoCLACSO live on the YouTube channel and Facebook profile.
Special program for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
November 25th is commemorated each year to denounce the violence perpetrated against people discriminated against because of their gender and to demand policies for its eradication. The Latin American feminist movement initiated the commemoration in 1981 to remember the date in 1960 when the three Mirabal sisters (Patria, Minerva, and María Teresa), political activists, were assassinated in the Dominican Republic on the orders of dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo.

– Patricia Castañeda Salgado , PhD in Anthropology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Founder of the Feminist Research Program at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Sciences and Humanities of the UNAM and member of the Working Group on Feminisms, Resistances and Emancipation.
– Alba Carosio , from the Central University of Venezuela. Director of the Venezuelan Journal of Women's Studies, researcher at the Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American Studies (CELARG) and the Miranda International Center (CIM)
– Clyde Soto , member of the CLACSO Steering Committee for Paraguay
-Fernanda Pampín , Director of Publications at CLACSO
– From Mexico City, participation of journalist Crismar Lujano
-In addition, we remember the participation in InfoCLACSO of Francia Márquez Mina , a Colombian Afro-Colombian social leader and feminist.
