InfoCLACSO Live #11
On Wednesday, September 16, starting at 16 p.m. in Argentina and Uruguay (UTC-3), we will present a new live broadcast of InfoCLACSO on our YouTube channel and Facebook profile.
Open to the Executive Secretariat and the members of the Steering Committee to disseminate activities and topics specific to each country, this new communication channel is also a space to review discussions, interview researchers, and for everything that makes up the life and production of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences.
In its new edition:
-Column of Karina Batthyány, Executive Secretary of CLACSO.
-Interview with Leandro Morgenfeld, professor at the University of Buenos Aires and researcher at CONICET of Argentina, co-coordinator of the CLACSO Working Group “Studies on the United States”.
-Interview with Roberto Oswaldo López, member of the CLACSO Steering Committee for the Central American Region (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama), Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Central American University “José Simeón Cañas” of El Salvador.

Interviews with participants of the 4th meeting of the virtual discussion on social security and the pension system: “What needs to change in the Argentine pension system?” The event, held on September 14, was organized by CLACSO, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, IADE, and the CLACSO Working Group on Social Security and Pension Systems. Participants included: Fernanda Vallejos, Member of the Argentine National Congress; Miguel Fernández Pastor, lawyer and former director of ANSES (Argentina's National Social Security Administration) and the Inter-American Center for Social Security Studies; Claudia Danani, from the National University of General Sarmiento and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina); and Elsa Rodríguez Romero, lawyer and professor, who heads the Social Security Commission at the Argentine Federation of Bar Associations.
