The Unilateral Coercive Measures (UCM) imposed by the United States have had a negative impact on Venezuela since 2015. However, the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian Government have managed to strengthen their resistance against this external imposition. This book, the result of an essay contest of the same name promoted by CLACSO and the Venezuelan Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MINCYT), compiles studies conducted by Venezuelan researchers who analyze how various social investment policies, ancestral practices, and new forms of self-management have allowed them to counteract the effects of the blockade. Through productive initiatives, the defense of sovereignty and public health, and the building of new institutional capacities, Venezuela has managed to move forward in the face of adversity. This collective work not only documents the country's internal struggles but also offers valuable lessons for other nations facing similar situations.
