 III Mexican Conference on Critical Thinking in Health and Sovereignty

On August 26, 27, 28 and 29, the CLACSO Working Group on International Health and Health Sovereignty and the National Center for Human Rights "Rosario Ibarra de Piedra" (CENADEH-CNDH) co-organized, together with Mexican national universities and federal government institutions in Public Health, the III Mexican Conference on Critical Thinking in Health and Sovereignty in Mexico City.

These institutions were the CISS (Inter-American Conference on Social Security); the Postgraduate Unit of Latin American Studies UNAM (Mexico); the National School of Medicine and Homeopathy – IPN (National Polytechnic Institute); the UACM (Autonomous University of Mexico City); the ENAH (National School of Anthropology and History MX); the UNISA (University of Health – Mx); the UIC (Intercontinental University, Mexico); the Observatory of Inequalities – University of Guadalajara; the Center for Gender Studies – University of Guadalajara and the Secretariat of Public Health of Mexico City.

The thematic axes of this event were the Refounding of the Health System in Mexico; decolonial, black and community feminisms for Health from the South; territories and communities of life for the care of women's health; critical epidemiology and the new challenges of health sovereignty in Mexico in the face of the crisis of the West and Pan-Americanism.
