II CIBAM/CLACSO Symposium: Latin America and the Balkans: Approaches and Similarities

On July 6 and 7, 2024, the Ibero-American Center CIBAM of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, and the CIBAM/CLACSO Special Group: Latin America and the Balkans: cultural and social links organized the II CIBAM/CLACSO Symposium Latin America and the Balkans: approaches and similarities.




















The symposium was attended by 40 speakers from 11 countries: Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Hungary, Macedonia, Mexico, Romania, the United States, Spain and Serbia, as well as the ambassadors of Argentina, Brazil and Mexico: His Excellency Osvaldo Marsico, José Mauro Couto and Carlos Félix Corona.
The co-organizers of this event were the Ibero-American Center CIBAM, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), the ELASOC CSIC project of Spain, the NUCLEAS institutes of the State University of Rio de Janeiro and IDEAZ of the University of Vienna, the Society of Hispanists of Serbia and the Institute of European Studies.
The symposium was organized as one of the preparatory activities for the 58th International Congress of Americanists ICA2025.
