The electorate rejected the four proposals put forward by right-wing President Daniel Noboa, including those opposing the presence of foreign military bases on national territory. The analysis by Hernan Reyes, Ecuadorian sociologist and academic with a doctorate in Latin American Cultural Studies, who has worked as a postgraduate professor at the Central University of Ecuador and the Andean University Simón Bolívar.
