Tribute to Ricardo Cetrulo, member of the Participatory Processes and Methodologies Working Group
On October 16, 2022, Ricardo Cetrulo, a member of the Working Group on Participatory Processes and Methodologies, passed away in Uruguay. Ricardo participated in numerous activities organized by the Working Group, and we are currently editing a book in the Working Groups Collection that includes a chapter about him.

He leaves behind an important legacy with contributions in the fields of popular education, liberation theology, social research (qualitative and participatory), and participation in Uruguay and Latin America. Among his vast body of work is a well-known book, co-authored with Orlando Fals Borda and Carlos Rodrigues Brandão, Participatory Research (Banda Oriental, 1986).
In addition, he was a nationally and internationally recognized and beloved person for his enormous social commitment, his transgressive spirit, and his human warmth.

In 1983 he was co-founder of the Institute of Man, an institution dedicated to popular education and local development in Uruguay.
