This workshop aims to address and critically examine public policies on memory that have emerged from collective struggles and resistance, as well as the academic work that has contributed to reflecting on this range of issues. Participants will discuss how the State and different social groups remember the past in relation to present-day struggles and problems, in order to reflect on the ongoing debate surrounding memory in contemporary narratives within a democracy shaped by multiple historical periods.

The workshops are aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students; teachers at all levels; activists and members of trade unions, social movements and political parties; public officials; press workers; members and managers of non-governmental organizations and professionals interested in the topic.
Each workshop has a duration of 4 hours.
