Hegemony, culture and education
Introduction to dissipative cultural structures

Author: Orlando Pulido Chaves.
Historically, belonging to something, being someone, has not been easy; achieving it depends on the confluence of multiple circumstances and factors in scenarios of conflict and tension. Understanding this complexity has been, moreover, an ongoing task for anthropology, increasingly shared with other scientific disciplines whose boundaries are becoming blurred day by day. Therefore, this text serves as a pretext, so to speak, to reflect on an anthropology that allows us to advance some explanations related to the configuration of cultural structures that shape the ways of life that generate these upheavals, uncertainties, fears, and dissatisfactions. Ultimately, it is nothing less than an attempt to restore trust in humankind.
