Making other worlds possible: why the Zapatistas matter to us
Author: Laurence Cox
CLACSO Working Group on Bodies, Territories and Resistance
“The Zapatista Tour is a true gift for us […] We are happy to have you here, walking with us, asking us questions, learning from each other about our struggles.” This is how the author closes this book, while telling the Zapatistas: “Thank you for coming.” In dialogue with them and with all the readers of this text, Laurence Cox invites us to explore the city of Dublin and the struggles of the Republic of Ireland from ancient times to the present day. In this way, he invites us to understand why the Zapatistas matter, why they matter to them, why they matter to us.
