On October 10, at the CLACSO headquarters in Buenos Aires, popular movements from Colombia and Argentina exchanged views on their problems and demands. Members of the following organizations were present: People's Court in Siloé, relatives of the victims of the social uprising in May 2021 in Colombia, under the government of Iván Duque, and representatives of La Garganta Poderosa from Argentina.

This Wednesday: the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San MarcosLima, Peru. Carlota Casalino, historian, principal lecturer at UNMSC, and Marcel Velázquez, PhD in Latin American Literature and research professor at UNMSC analyze the conflict unleashed and the repression against the demands for clean elections of deans, faculty representatives and students to collegiate governing bodies.

The program for Wednesday, October 30th covers three of the main themes of the Platforms for Social Dialogue which CLACSO is promoting for the coming years: “Democracy and human rights in Latin America and the Caribbean”, “Social movements and activism in Latin America and the Caribbean” and “Right to education, public policies and pedagogical alternatives”.
