Critical legal thinking and anti-systemic struggles
El CLACSO Working Group on Critical Legal Thought and Anti-Systemic Struggles Its objective is to consolidate critical legal thinking in the Latin America and Caribbean region, placing law within the framework of the critique of political economy, understanding the legal form as a historically determined social form, inseparable from capitalist relations of production and the structures of domination that these reproduce.
From this perspective, the aim is to analyze the historical and material conditions that make the production of law possible, as well as the role it plays in the reproduction of the relations of exploitation, domination and accumulation that structure capitalist society.
This objective is the development of a very clear political project. Given the current situation in the world and in Our America, new paradigms, categories, and perspectives are needed within an updated critical legal and political framework. This framework should foster new, liberating horizons for political and social action, without abandoning the normative demands of overcoming capitalism as a prerequisite for human emancipation. This is the social relevance of this proposal, which is a theoretical and practical project for the creation of a working collective dedicated to developing alternatives for transformation and building a better future.
