Gender and public policy: Rights in tension?
As part of Women's Month, on Wednesday, March 6, CLACSO convened a face-to-face meeting in Buenos Aires to work on Gender and Public Policies: Rights in Tension?
Participants in the dialogue included Karina Batthyány (Executive Director of CLACSO), Estela Díaz (Minister of Women, Gender Policies and Sexual Diversity of the province of Buenos Aires) and Verónica Gago (National University of San Martín, teacher and researcher at CLACSO).
This proposal contributes to the debates and exchanges of the Platform for Social Dialogue: Rights, violence and gender equality.
Previously, Andrea Daverio and Elena Mingo from the CLACSO Working Group “Gender, (in)equalities and rights in tension” coordinated a training workshop to reflect on the conditions and feasibility of defending rights and their effective exercise, based on gender equality.
