 Winners of the Latin American Essay Contest on Open Access

On May 28, the awards ceremony for the winners of the 2020 Latin American Essay Contest on Open Access, "Open with Purpose: taking action to build structural equity and inclusion," was held virtually. The contest was launched jointly by CLACSO with AmeliCA, Redalyc, and UNESCO.

The awards ceremony featured the following panelists: Marielza Oliveira, Co-Director of Access to Information at UNESCO; Karina Batthyány, Executive Secretary of CLACSO; Edward Aguado, founder of Redalyc and AmeliCA; and Lorena PilloniFrom the Institute of Historical Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Also participating were young students and researchers who had won the competition.
