Objectives and relevance of the World Decolonization Forum:

• The role of your institution in advancing decolonization efforts.

• Perspectives on the decolonization of the production and circulation of knowledge.

• Reflections on the importance of cooperation within the framework of this Forum.

Lessons Learned from the Decolonization Project of German and European Cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean (CLACSO Project, with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH – Germany).

How can we identify best practices for decolonizing German and European cooperation? This project, coordinated by Karina Bidaseca, draws on intersectional and decolonial feminist perspectives to identify and counter colonial continuities in development cooperation. This approach addresses the experiences and perspectives of Afro-descendant and Indigenous communities and their women, with the aim of proposing decolonial cooperation practices. Driven particularly by feminist, anti-racist, and Indigenous movements in Latin America and the Caribbean, the debate on the possibilities of decolonizing cooperation is currently booming.

Marked by an international cooperation crisis that highlights a global humanitarian crisis disrupting vital health and food security aid and reshaping geopolitics by reducing the influence of the Global North, the possibility of a new paradigm emerges.
