Academic program
Objective
To offer excellent higher education aimed at deepening research in Political Science, with a projection in the national, regional and international community.
Specific objectives
To promote the emergence of new lines of research in Political Science, which respond to the current challenges of the discipline and the political reality of Argentina and the Latin American region.
To encourage the training of professionals committed to solving the problems that their societies present to them, and equipped with the tools to meet the growing demands for experts in different areas of the public and private sectors.
To consolidate the analytical and critical capacities of those who work in different teaching areas related to the discipline, from the secondary education level to the higher undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Specific objectives

To encourage the training of professionals committed to solving the problems that their societies present to them, and equipped with the tools to meet the growing demands for experts in different areas of the public and private sectors.
To consolidate the analytical and critical capacities of those who work in different teaching areas related to the discipline, from the secondary education level to the higher undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The program aims to train graduates who possess up-to-date theoretical and methodological tools to produce innovative research in the field of Political Science and to integrate into the academic and professional community. In particular, graduates of the Master's Program in Politics and Government will be qualified to:
-To develop an academic career in the national and international scientific and university field, having acquired the necessary skills to begin a doctorate;
-Develop research within the framework of accredited teams and projects and produce quality scientific texts, with a particular focus on contemporary Latin American experiences;
-To teach and critically transmit, in the educational and general public sphere, the basic foundations of political science and its most recent discussions;
-Advise decision-makers on the development, implementation and evaluation of public policies and social programs;
-To guide and advise those responsible for the design and evaluation of political, electoral and administrative reforms;
-Advising political leaders on the development of campaign strategies and political communication;
-To offer assistance to civil society organizations in actions aimed at expanding rights and in their dealings with the authorities;
-Design, coordinate and carry out applied research within the framework of international organizations and foundations dedicated to promoting development.

University degree of 4 years or more;
Applications from candidates who meet the exceptional circumstances outlined in Article 39 bis of Law 24.521 on Higher Education may be accepted provided they demonstrate, through the evaluations and requirements established by the University, that they possess preparation and work experience relevant to the postgraduate studies they propose to pursue, as well as sufficient skills and knowledge to successfully complete them. The special admission procedure for these exceptional cases is governed by UNSAM Resolution No. 146/08.

Certified photocopy of the university degree or diploma; Copy and original or, failing that, certified photocopy of the academic transcript;
Photocopies of the front and back of your ID card or passport if you are a foreigner
Updated Curriculum Vitae;
Two letters of recommendation;
A written statement of objectives of no more than three pages, relating: (a) your intellectual and professional biography, (b) the topics of interest that call you to pursue the Master's degree and to investigate within the framework of the thesis;
The student must certify that they possess an intermediate level of English. In the case of an applicant with a degree issued by a foreign educational institution, they must present:
1. The degree diploma, academic transcript, or equivalent, with the signature of the educational authority of the country of origin, certified at the respective consulate of the Argentine Republic and validated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Nation. Countries that have signed the Hague Convention are exempt, in which case they must present the corresponding apostille.
2. If the original documents are written in a foreign language, a translation of each of them must be submitted, made by a Registered Public Translator, and legalized at the College of Public Translators (Av. Callao 289, Capital Federal).
