Academic program
The Graduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru offers the Master's Degree in Anthropology, a program that trains professionals and academics to participate in activities related to the recognition of diverse rights, needs and identities, which are highly relevant in our country and in the region.
This discipline seeks to expand the intellectual scope towards new dimensions of reality; and to foster the habit of respectfully and critically analyzing cultural differences and deepening the interpretation of different visions of the world and of human life.
Anthropology as a discipline is at the heart of a debate that incorporates concepts linked to culture, cultural expression, and interculturality, their processes, and their diversity. It is one of the most exciting fields of knowledge and, at the same time, one of the most challenging. The contemporary, globalized, and interconnected world has become more complex, and people, ideas, objects of material culture, and values move through increasingly broader spheres. Simultaneously, local identities maintain their importance, guiding people's actions and frequently fueling conflicts between small and large communities.
