Culture is a symbolic unfolding that entails multiple possibilities for sense and meaning; it is a symbolic horizon anchored in sensory conditions. Within a culture or semiotic sphere, there are bodies constructed and subjected to the vicissitudes of the sensorium (as Walter Benjamin put it), determined by socio-technical variations. Spatialities, practices, and expressive forms do not posit an essential identity, but rather a permanent movement that confirms the need to think from an expanded aesthetic perspective.

Objective

To contribute to the training of researchers in the field of aesthetics and semiotics, so that they have tools for formulating problems and questions about art and culture, as well as generating reflections on aesthetic behavior as a whole.
The Master's studies in Aesthetics shape a master capable of actively performing in the various fields of culture as an analyst, promoter, researcher and critic.
