Academic program

The Master's Program in History was created according to Agreement No. 24 of April 6, 1988, of the University Superior Council. It is aimed at graduates with undergraduate degrees in History and other areas of knowledge.

Objectives:

- To deepen theoretical and historiographical training, in order to refine skills for developing historical research.
- To foster and promote historical research in the country, with an interdisciplinary, comparative and universal character.
The graduate will be able to:

Professional with the ability to lead historical research projects with an interdisciplinary perspective; project their knowledge towards the improvement of educational quality in the field of social sciences at all levels of education; participate in interdisciplinary research groups on historical topics and problems linked to other disciplines; advise and accompany communities in the construction of their cultural memories and their local histories and generate strategies for dissemination and transmission of knowledge.

• Take an entrance exam and obtain a minimum score of 3.5. This test is eliminatory.
• Research proposal including title, presentation of the topic and research question, justification, objectives, theoretical framework, sources and bibliography. Maximum length of six pages.
• Resume in the standard format with academic, research and work-related supporting documents
