Academic program
As a pioneering program in the country in the field of Methodology of Science, its continued offering within the National Polytechnic Institute is highly relevant. Its lines of application and knowledge generation are designed to facilitate access for professionals interested in studying and reflecting on their own specialties from a social perspective that complements their original training and professional practice; that is, with the broad possibilities offered by History, Epistemology in the Social Sciences, and Social Research Methodology.
OBJECTIVE OF THE MASTER'S DEGREE:
To guide the student to critical reflection on the conceptual and material domain of the social sciences from the methodological, historical, epistemological and social perspective with the purpose of training him as a scientist of methodology in the field of his discipline of origin with a vision that tends towards social innovation and the development of frontier studies.
OBJECTIVE OF THE MASTER'S DEGREE:
To guide the student to critical reflection on the conceptual and material domain of the social sciences from the methodological, historical, epistemological and social perspective with the purpose of training him as a scientist of methodology in the field of his discipline of origin with a vision that tends towards social innovation and the development of frontier studies.
Graduates of the MCMC will possess the foundation for the scientific study of methodology in their discipline of origin, with a focus on social innovation. Furthermore, graduates of this master's program will develop the following generic and specific competencies:
Carry out research protocols, being able to search for and systematize information.
Develop and evaluate theoretical and methodological proposals for decision-making in science and technology.
Offer advice on theoretical and methodological aspects of their discipline or related fields of knowledge.
Acquire methodological and investigative skills in science.
Design methodologies for analysis and reflection of results, with the development of proposals for improvement or solutions, and the generation of conclusions, on their discipline or related fields of knowledge, so that they can perform with greater capabilities in both the public and private sectors.
The graduate must have the above profile in accordance with their original training, but with the distinction of maintaining a focus on social innovation in those skills.
