Academic program
This master's degree is geared towards the training of psychotherapists.
Based on clinical experience and knowledge of the sociocultural factors that are part of life situations, the program is oriented towards understanding and providing options to solve people's problems from their sociocultural context.
It allows for the generation of theoretical understandings and innovative courses of action so that people can find answers to their concerns and live a more satisfying life.

The graduate will be able to:
• To care for and promote the psychosocial well-being of the individuals they serve and their own.
• To describe and evaluate the personality characteristics and forms of interaction that a person has, in relation to the effects that these have on their interpersonal relationships.
• Intervene appropriately to promote changes in accordance with people's wishes, and evaluate the results of your interventions.
• Generate innovative modes of psychotherapeutic care that are more appropriate to the sociocultural context.
• Learn and generate new knowledge, procedures and/or techniques, based on their professional work experiences.
• To be open to dialogue with different approaches in Psychology and with other sciences and disciplines, in order to continue building their frame of reference as a psychotherapist.
• Have a deep respect for people's experience and the ability to maintain a positive and flexible attitude.
• To have an ethical and responsible professional performance.
• To care for and promote the psychosocial well-being of the individuals they serve and their own.

The person interested in pursuing this master's degree must have:
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
• Availability to take charge of their training process and to learn how to learn.
• Ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate different knowledge and human situations.
• Clarity, order and consistency in the oral and written expression of their ideas and feelings.
• Skills to search for, understand, use and evaluate information from various sources in Spanish and English.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
• Availability to take charge of their training process and to learn how to learn.

ITESO provides financial support to young Mexicans with aptitude, interest, and talent who need support to pay for their university tuition.
ITESO scholarships and funding:
• They are maintained throughout your career, as long as you meet the academic average.
• They allow you to enjoy all university services.
• You are not forced to work inside or outside the university.
The support can take the following forms:
1. Educational Funding
• Percentage of financial support, in the form of a loan, that you will begin to pay back upon completion of your degree.
• Affordable payment plans, tailored to family income.
2. Scholarship
Percentage of exemption from payment of school fees, which will depend on a socioeconomic study that determines the percentage of support.
Other scholarship support:
• Scholarship and funding based on Socioeconomic Study
It is determined through a socioeconomic study; the requirement is a SEP average greater than or equal to 80.
• Academic Excellence Scholarship
The competition is open to high school students with empathy for community development, promoters of a just society, and an average grade of 95 or higher.
