Academic program

The Master's Degree in Economic Sciences at the Medellín Campus was created by Agreement 107 of 1994 of the University Superior Council, with the purpose of offering students the possibility of delving deeper into various areas of economic sciences of importance to the country and for the development of the discipline itself and preparing advanced-level economists, with the ability to theorize and model, analyze and evaluate the economic process and formulate policies for public and private organizations.

Objective:

To train professionals with a good grasp of economic theory to understand how models work and to develop alternative solutions to relevant economic problems.

Graduates of the Master's Program in Economic Sciences at the Medellín campus are well-prepared analysts capable of actively participating in research and teaching, with the skills to reflect on development issues and the country's integration into the global economy. Their career paths are diverse, and their training equips them with the necessary tools to conduct research in the public or private sector, with a national and international perspective, contributing to social and economic development.
• Interview about the applicant's interests, experiences and expectations, in order to determine the guarantees that will allow the program's objectives to be achieved.
• Research proposal including title, presentation of the topic and research question, justification, objectives, theoretical framework, sources and bibliography. Maximum length of six pages.
• Resume in the standard format with academic, research and work-related supporting documents.
