Academic program
The general objectives of the Master's Degree in “Cultural Industries: policies and management” are:
• To contribute to the training of postgraduate graduates in the field of communication and culture mediated by industrial production processes, based on a solid theoretical, methodological and practical training.
• To propose an academic program of studies characterized by academic quality and professional updating.
• To train a professional capable of analyzing, diagnosing and evaluating the production processes and logics of the cultural and media industries.
• To train professionals in the systematization of specific knowledge in the field of communication policies in the context of the globalization of the regulation of information, communication and cultural resources.
• To provide the theoretical and practical knowledge that guarantees the intervention of professionals in the monitoring and transformation of the content and information flows of the productive organizations of cultural industries and media.
• To provide the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, design and manage communication policies and strategies in accordance with public and private organizations that coordinate their work with that of the cultural industries and the media.
The specific objectives of the Master's Degree in “Cultural Industries: policies and management” are:
• To study the theoretical contributions that have allowed us to answer questions about the industrial structuring of culture and the consolidation of contemporary media systems.
• To train specialists in the analysis and planning of the development of cultural industries, within the framework of the main communication policy systems.
• Develop the understanding and capacity for reform action of the main regulatory variables and current legislation, corresponding to the cultural industries, with special emphasis on the study of cases of Ibero-American countries.
• To analytically address the institutional framework of the organizations involved in the cultural industries and the media, with their particularities according to their scale (small, medium, large), their profile (public, mixed, private) and their different production processes.
• To train for the planning, execution, management and evaluation of productive projects within the framework of cultural industries and the media.
• Plan the intervention of new convergent information and communication technologies in media organizations and cultural industries.
• To provide tools for evaluating information and communication processes within organizations.
• To contribute to the training of postgraduate graduates in the field of communication and culture mediated by industrial production processes, based on a solid theoretical, methodological and practical training.

The Master's program aims to train postgraduate professionals with a reflective perspective, both practical and theoretical, on contemporary processes of social, economic, and technological transformation in communication and the cultural industries as a whole. It also seeks to promote reflection and research on policies implemented in the sector.
The graduate will be able to:
-to intervene in public or private organizations linked to media and cultural industries, collaborating with the design and implementation of policies and strategies related to the production processes of information and communication.
-to diagnose, design, manage and evaluate production processes in organizations linked to media and cultural industries from a critical and analytical perspective.
-to formulate and carry out specific research projects from an interdisciplinary perspective.
-To articulate, in teaching activity, the different contributions and analytical perspectives of the field that converge towards a more complete understanding of the problems of the media and cultural industries.
The graduate will be able to:
-to intervene in public or private organizations linked to media and cultural industries, collaborating with the design and implementation of policies and strategies related to the production processes of information and communication.
-to diagnose, design, manage and evaluate production processes in organizations linked to media and cultural industries from a critical and analytical perspective.
-to formulate and carry out specific research projects from an interdisciplinary perspective.
-To articulate, in teaching activity, the different contributions and analytical perspectives of the field that converge towards a more complete understanding of the problems of the media and cultural industries.
Applicants for Master's programs must possess at least some of the following conditions to apply for admission:
a) Be a university graduate with a final degree title issued by a National University, Provincial University or Private University recognized by the National Executive Branch, corresponding to a career with at least four (4) years of duration;
b) Be a university graduate with a final degree degree issued by a foreign university recognized by the competent authorities of their country, subject to prior evaluation of their studies by the Academic Committee. The admission of the candidate will not in any case imply the revalidation of the degree degree;
c) Accredit completed tertiary studies of four (4) or more years duration with a final degree issued by an institution recognized by the competent educational authority, in which case the Academic Commission may determine the performance of complementary activities in order to ensure that their training is compatible with the requirements of the postgraduate program to which they aspire.

The Postgraduate Secretariat carries out a Scholarship Program in order to enable the development of research and complete doctoral training within UNQ.
Scholarships are limited and applications are accepted until the closing date for registration in the program.

Types of scholarships
UNQ Community Scholarship: This scholarship offers a 50% reduction in tuition fees for undergraduate and graduate programs for members of the UNQ community (full-time faculty, undergraduate and graduate alumni, administrative and service staff, and CONICET, CIC, or ANPCyT fellows based at UNQ). This scholarship does not include a discount on registration fees.
UNQ Community Full Scholarship: This scholarship offers up to a 100% reduction in tuition fees for undergraduate and graduate programs for members of the UNQ community (full-time faculty, undergraduate and graduate alumni, administrative and service staff, and CONICET, CIC, or ANPCyT fellows based at UNQ). This scholarship does not include a discount on registration fees.
Partial scholarship for external students: This scholarship offers a reduction of up to 50% in the tuition fees for postgraduate degrees and diplomas. This scholarship does not include a discount on registration fees.
Partial scholarship for students through agreements: See “Current Agreements”
Tuition scholarships do not cover registration fees. They are awarded annually, and students must apply for renewal if they wish to continue receiving the benefit. See "tuition scholarship regulations."
