Academic program
The Doctoral Program in Economic and Administrative Sciences has the following general objective:
To train high-level researchers in the areas of Administration, Economics, Finance and Marketing, capable of generating original and innovative knowledge in the field of Economic and Administrative Sciences, which contribute to the development of the region and the country.

Graduates of the Doctorate in Economic and Administrative Sciences will be able to:
a) Generate knowledge through scientific research and disseminate it through teaching and publication of work. (know-how)
b) To train new researchers (know-how).
c) Advising organizations to achieve their development and the solution of their economic and administrative problems. (know-how)
d) Ability to generate and transmit knowledge and to train new researchers in economic and administrative sciences. (know-how)
e) Ability to diagnose and solve economic problems and
administrative (know-how)
f) Capacity for intellectual leadership to generate changes in science and technology in the economic and administrative sciences, with an ethical, innovative, critical attitude and social commitment. (know-how)
g) In-depth and up-to-date knowledge in their field of specialization within economic and administrative sciences. (knowledge and skills)
Graduates of this doctoral program can provide their services in various sectors, such as the following:
• In higher education institutions, as educators or researchers.
• As advisors to organizations, either independently or through the outreach activities of the educational institution to which they belong.
• As managers of private or government sector organizations.

1) Academic requirements:
a) Bachelor's degree
b) Master's degree in one of the areas of Economic Sciences and
Administrative or related fields. (In exceptional cases of applicants who do not meet this requirement, but who have demonstrated high academic productivity in the administrative academic area, the Doctoral Academic Council will decide whether the applicant can be accepted into the Program.
c) Accredit English language proficiency with a TOEFL score of 450 or its equivalent in other languages.
d) Submit work that proves the applicant's research ability.
2) Required characteristics:
a) Knowledge of theories, methods and techniques in Economic Sciences and
Administrative.
b) Training in research methodology, which includes at least an understanding of the main research methods in Science
Economic-Administrative skills and the handling of fundamental data collection and analysis techniques.
c) Submit proof of accreditation of the preparatory course that will be offered by
CCEA for admission to the doctorate, the content of which will be determined by the Academic Council.
d) Applicants for admission to the doctoral program must submit a well-structured research proposal of institutional interest. This proposal must also include a clear and concise statement that demonstrates the candidate's theoretical and methodological foundation for undertaking doctoral studies.
e) Ability to logical reasoning, analysis and synthesis.
f) Attitudinal traits of: Honesty, responsibility, perseverance and critical and self-critical spirit.
g) Full-time availability for doctoral studies.
3) Desirable characteristics:
a) To be a professor-researcher in the area of Economic Sciences and
Administrative.
b) Ability to work in a tutoring scheme (non-schooling).
c) Innovative, creative attitude inspired by a social commitment.
d) Research background in the area of interest.
The identification of students who meet the characteristics established in the admission profile will be carried out through a selection process.
Admission requirements
Candidates for admission to this doctoral program must, in addition to the requirements established in the General Teaching Regulations, meet the following requirements:
• Pass the institutional admission exam.
• Letter of intent explaining why you are applying to the program.
• Updated curriculum vitae highlighting your research work.
• Personal interview before the Postgraduate Academic Council.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English with a TOEFL score of 450 or another language on an equivalent scale.
• Two academic letters of recommendation.
• Develop a research protocol for a doctoral thesis related to the areas offered by the Program.
• Submit proof of accreditation of the preparatory course offered by the CCEA for admission to the doctoral program, the content of which will be determined by the
Academic Council.
