Academic program
Objective
The Master's Degree in Social Sciences has the general objective (to achieve a general recognition of the problematic scenario and the discursive field) in which modernity is constituted, identifying the relationships established between the three highlighted axes: politics, science and communication) so that the student can access a problematic field of discussion around various open guidelines in the dimension of social sciences both in Chile and in Latin America.
Specific objectives
The program aims to enable students to: Examine a set of frameworks, conceptual materials, and analytical units deployed in the very configuration of the modern project. In this regard, students will undertake an exercise in understanding some of the disciplinary formations and interpretive keys that make certain configurations characteristic of modernity intelligible.
To reposition these fields within a dialogue with contemporary society and thought. To establish relationships between the conditions of emergence and constitution of modernity and the contemporary scene that challenges it.
