Academic program

Objectives:
To train doctoral graduates capable of conducting research and making original contributions to theory in the various areas of management science, with methodological rigor and framed within the advances of previous research in the field. To transmit and disseminate the results of research work and prepare students for academic and professional practice at the highest level.
Have a bachelor's degree.
Preferably hold a master's degree, which is academically sufficient, awarded by UNAM or by another national or foreign institution.
Submit a preliminary research proposal.
Candidates with a master's degree academic background must have a minimum average of 8 in both their master's and bachelor's degree studies.
Applicants with a bachelor's degree who demonstrate research skills and a distinguished academic and professional record must have a minimum GPA of 9.0 in their undergraduate studies. Research skills will be assessed based on the research proposal.
Demonstrating an understanding of the English language is a requirement.
For students whose native language is not Spanish, proof of sufficient knowledge of the language will be required. In both cases, the issuing offices will be: for English, the UNAM Center for Foreign Language Studies, the language departments of the multidisciplinary units, or the language departments, if any, of the participating academic entities. For Spanish, the certificate must be issued by the UNAM Center for Foreign Language Teaching (CEPE).
Applicants to the program must submit a written research proposal, which will be presented orally. The proposal will be evaluated based on its relevance, methodological rigor, originality, and potential contribution to the advancement of knowledge regarding organizations and their management, as well as the knowledge required by the applicant to conduct the research.
Take and pass an entrance exam.
Obtain an approval of academic proficiency, after undergoing the selection procedure established in the program's operating rules.
Full-time commitment. Part-time students will only be accepted in exceptional cases.
Having a scholarship to pursue studies.
Have academic and professional experience.
