 FOLEC-CLACSO at the Symposium "Open Science: International Meeting France – South America" ​​(USP)

The first edition of the Symposium "Open Science - International Meeting France-South America" ​​was held in Buenos Aires in December 2021.

As a result of this work, the French Embassy in Chile and the French Institute in Chile, the French Regional Delegation for Cooperation in South America and UNESCO have joined the organizing committee of the first meeting to propose a new edition of the Symposium, based in University of São Paulo (USP) on September 22 and 23, 2022.

This edition includes three thematic conferences and three panels: 1. Digital Humanities; 2. Evaluation of Researchers; 3. Citizen Science and Dialogue on Knowledge as a Common Good.

The objectives pursued at the meeting are: the exchange of experiences between South American countries and between these and France on the subject of open science; the promotion of collaborations on the subject of open science between France and South America; and a reflection on the links between science and democracy.

Laura Rovelli, (Coordinator of the FOLEC-CLACSO), will participate in the panel "Rethinking the evaluation of researchers", together with Bianca Amaro (IBICT Brazil) and Sylvie Rousset (CNRS).

The event is public and free, with prior registration (limited number of places, 150 in total).

It will be taught in French, Portuguese and Spanish, with simultaneous translation: French/Portuguese and French/Spanish.
