Justification 

The importance of approaching Paulo Freire's pedagogical and political work through his legacy, 100 years after his birth, should stir, shake, and motivate all those who want to learn about and engage with his life and work. That is why we have conceived our participation in this project as an opportunity to create a fun and entertaining graphic sequence of memes that provokes dialogue and reflection based on fragments of “Letters to those who pretend to teach (Teacher yes, aunt no); one of the works of the pedagogue that seems to have a discreet but powerful impact on current generations who have decided to approach education. 

The work of Paulo Freire and the dialogue it sparks among those of us who reflect with him serves as the impetus for creating entertaining and engaging content that can go viral on social media. This graphic sequence of memes addresses current issues such as inclusion, language, what happens in online classes, and the roles of teachers and students as political agents during a pandemic and remote learning. We have chosen to use images that do not contain content that affects or violates the struggles and rights of diverse minority groups in contemporary society. 

We believe that Freire's transcendence lies not in his work and legacy but in the openness to dialogue that arises from his work, which allows us to continue rethinking, re-signifying, and reconstructing his work and efforts. 

Generating questions 

1. What do we want to do? 

Graphic sequence with memes in light of Paulo Freire's letters (Letters to those who pretend to teach) to address current issues such as inclusion, language, what happens in online classes, the role of the teacher and the student as political agents during a pandemic scenario and non-face-to-face education. 

2. How do we want to do it? 

We intend to build a graphic sequence from memes as an entertaining and fun opportunity to approach one of Paulo Freire's most representative works, revisiting current themes. 

Operationally, the photo editor is used. Picsart (free version), an application that allows you to add text and edit collected photos and images to create new content from mobile devices. 

3. Why did we decide to do it this way? 

To generate reflections from content that can go viral on social media, addressing and disseminating the work of Paulo Freire. We use images without

content that affects or violates the struggle and rights of various minority groups in contemporary society. 

It starts with images and texts that allude to the work of the Brazilian pedagogue with the intention of reaching the largest number of people and excluding the fewest possible. 

4. In what format will it be presented? (video, music, meme, text, digital fanzine, podcast, etc.)

Creating memes is simple, fun, and accessible, and they are easy to reproduce and spread on social media.
