Feminisms and trade unions in Latin America
On Wednesday, December 2nd, the book “Feminisms and Unions in Ibero-America” was presented. Organized by CLACSO and the Institute of Social Studies in Contexts of Inequality at the National University of José C. Paz (UNPAZ), the event featured the participation of CLACSO Executive Secretary Karina Batthyány and various Working Groups; it was moderated by Nora Goren of UNPAZ, one of the book's editors along with Vanesa Lorena Prieto.

In August 2019, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), in conjunction with the Institute of Social Studies in Contexts of Inequality at the National University of José C. Paz (IESCODE-UNPAZ), launched a call for essays on “Feminisms and Unions in Ibero-America: Experiences, Encounters, and Disagreements.” The call generated considerable interest and was received by researchers, policymakers, and union leaders. As a result of this strong response, more than 180 submissions were received. Following the registration period, the essays were reviewed by 15 international experts. After the review process, 7 essays by 13 authors were selected. These essays, along with 5 works commissioned specifically for this publication, comprise the work presented here.
