Extractivism and its implications for health, environment and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean

As part of the productions and dynamics of the agenda of Workgroup CLACSO International Health and Health SovereigntyWe would like to present a new edition of the CLACSO South South International Health Dossier.

This is a joint work of the International Health Program of FLACSO RD (Dominican Republic Program) and the Workgroup CLACSO International Health and Health Sovereignty.

The Dossiers seek to contribute to the production and dissemination of knowledge and innovation towards new epistemologies of Health from the South, contributing to the development of this conceptual, methodological and public geopolitics framework for influence at the regional and national levels.

We hope it will be of interest to CLACSO member centers, universities and the scientific community in the field of study, social movements, trade unions and civil society organizations, regional bodies as well as public management and governments in Latin America and the Caribbean especially.

In this Special Edition X, the Institute of Socio-Environmental Health of the National University of Rosario (UNR, Argentina), a space for research specializing in socio-environmental health, and the Workgroup CLACSO International Health and Health SovereigntyThey present the result of a special call for a Dossier on Extractivism and its implications for health, environment and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean.
