Event: Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Justice in Ecuador and Latin America

This event presented the preliminary results of the five dimensions (Legal, Social, Economic, Scientific and Technological) of the Methodology of Assessment of Readiness for Adoption of the Recommendation for Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (RAM), This instrument, developed by the CTS Lab team at FLACSO, Ecuador, was launched in 2022 at UNESCO's Global Forum on AI Ethics and has been adopted by 193 countries, with the goal of ensuring the implementation of ethical and inclusive AI.

The following were also announced: five winning proposals of the Call for Proposals “Algorithmic Justice”, co-organized between UNESCO Ecuador and CLACSO, aimed at promoting the ethical and responsible use of AI and strengthening collaboration between academia and the State for informed decision-making.
