Next November 26th, 18 p.m. to 20 p.mThe meeting will take place “Evaluation, publication and language policies in the dissemination of science today”Organized by the Research and Innovation Program in Language Sciences (PIICL) of the Faculty of Languages ​​of the National University of Córdoba (UNC)The activity will take place in hybrid mode, based in the Main Auditorium of University City and transmission through Google Meet.

The following will participate as exhibitors: Mgtr. Paula García Ficarra (Faculty of Languages ​​– UNC), the Mr. Matías Alcántara (FOLEC-CLACSO; UBA) and the Dr. Pablo von Stecher (UBA/UNAHUR – CONICET). The meeting proposes to reflect on the current tensions between academic evaluation systems, scientific publication practices and language policies that influence the circulation of knowledge.

This event aims to foster dialogue on how decisions regarding evaluation and publication affect the visibility and legitimacy of scientific output in different languages, particularly in the Latin American context. It will also address the challenges faced by institutions and scientific communities in promoting more diverse, accessible, and contextualized science.
