Latin American studies: national, regional and transnational perspectives

El CLACSO Working Group on Latin American Studies: National, Regional and Transnational PerspectivesIt proposes to formalize an academic network that will seek to coordinate a regional research plan on the past, present and future
of the ELA field in Latin America and the Caribbean in each country and subregion based on empirical and theoretical studies, of an interdisciplinary nature and considering the multiple temporalities and geographical scales of their determinations.
The results of the three-year work are expected to contribute to the development of new national and regional research agendas with specialized knowledge for the construction of public policies.
Our main question can be expressed as follows:
What is the past, present and future of the field of Latin American Studies (LAS) in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in relation to regional and global contexts and the changes and main debates of the social sciences and humanities between the beginning of the 20th century and the present?
