CLACSO Working Group on Critical Legal Thought and Sociopolitical Conflicts
From critical perspectives, the works presented here are referential, reflective, non-dogmatic, and non-systemic, and therefore do not reproduce the dominant way of understanding social phenomena. This means that the reflections of this group go beyond simply understanding dominant structures; rather, they move toward an analysis of the conditions that make change to these structures possible. They study how these structures are constructed and function, but also how they reproduce a logic of domination that, in essence, is their very form, not merely their means of transformation. The horizon of critical analysis is the capitalist totality and its effects on political, social, economic, environmental, and legal relations.
