State of Rights in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires
On Wednesday, April 8, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and the Ombudsman's Office of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires They organized the first working meeting with the groups that were selected within the framework of the Call for Proposals on “State of Rights in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires”, the result of the Framework Cooperation Agreement signed by both institutions on September 5, 2024, with the purpose of establishing the basis for the development of joint actions aimed at strengthening research, knowledge production and the promotion of human rights.
The following participated in the meeting at CLACSO headquarters: Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, Pablo Gordon Daluz, Director of the Rights Monitor at the Ombudsman's Office of CABA, and representatives of the selected teams, in addition to the tutors Hugo Ferpozzi, Sandra Wolanski, Cecilia Zapata, Nicolás Dzembrowski, Alejandra Oberti and María Cecilia Marengo.

This call for proposals is establishing itself as a key initiative to strengthen the production of situated knowledge and the critical analysis of inequalities that permeate the city. Through the collaborative work between the Latin American Council of Social Sciences and the Ombudsman's Office of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and with the commitment of the research teams and their mentors, the results will contribute to the design of more inclusive public policies, aimed at effectively guaranteeing human rights and improving the living conditions of the population.
