Epistemologies, methodologies and policies in childhood and youth

This course makes visible and audible the epistemic, epistemological, and methodological shifts that the social sciences have undergone in their attempts to account for the complexity, crossroads, uncertainty, and diverse facets that define the analysis of childhood and youth in Latin America and the Caribbean. It seeks to stimulate the analysis of the socio-economic, cultural, and political situation of children and youth, taking into account the individuals, institutions, and contexts in which the lives of children and young people on the continent become history. At the same time, it aims to identify, map, and characterize practices of resistance and re-existence as liberating ways of being and existing in the world.
